The Prime Minister of Tanzania, Kassim Majaliwa Gives a Word to Muslims and Christians

Dodoma: The Prime Minister of Tanzania, Kassim Majaliwa has asked Tanzanians to continue the good things they were doing during the fasting of the holy month of Ramadhan and Lent in order to continue to maintain peace and stability in the country.

Majaliwa made the call today, Wednesday, April 10, 2024 when he participated in the Eid El-Fitri prayer at the Gadafi Mosque in Dodoma.

He said that in the two periods that have gone together, the religious leaders have been doing a great job of encouraging the believers to do good and abandon evil.

Majaliwa has said that all Muslims in the world were in the month of repentance and prayer, a period during which each one of them was asking God to continue to grant him to abandon evil.

He has asked every believer to strengthen solidarity and unity but also to continue doing the good he was doing during the holy month of Ramadhan.

Majaliwa said that month, believers have learned a lot and given them direction on how they should live.

He said that they now have to implement all that they were praying for during this Ramadan in order to build a better society.

Majaliwa has said that on the part of the Government, they see that these are the things that were happening during the fast of Ramadhan and Lent, which are the basic things that enable the nation to have stability, peace and unity.

He said that’s why wherever you go in Tanzania there is great stability, all that is because its people follow the principles of their religion.

However, Majaliwa has said that everyone should follow the principles that have strengthened in the society and the Government has made laws for all the bad things to protect the good that is being done.

“This month, everyone has emphasized to be compassionate, to help those in special need, to give wise words that nurture and build our society to oppose and reject violence against children, women, even those men who are incapable,” said Majaliwa.

He has asked them to pray for the country’s leaders including President Samia Suluhu Hassan so that they can lead the nation and keep it calm.

Sheikh of Dodoma Region, Alhaj Rajabu Mustapha Shaban has asked Muslims to live the holy month of Ramadhan by doing good deeds.

“Let’s not be like criminals who were released, they came out and became free and went to continue criminal activities,” he said.
