The son of Spanish actors is on trial in Thailand for the murder of a Colombian surgeon

BANGKOK: The son of Spanish celebrities is on trial in Thailand for the alleged murder and mutilation of a Colombian surgeon on a well-known vacation spot. In October, Daniel Sancho Bronchalo was charged with the murder of Edwin Arrieta Arteaga, whose body was discovered in a landfill on the island of Koh Pha Ngan in the Gulf of Thailand, stuffed with plastic bags.

Sancho faces accusations of planned murder, hiding a body, and destroying other people’s paperwork. For the most part, Sancho has entered a not guilty plea. Prior to the trial, Arrieta’s family’s attorney stated that they had faith in Thai prosecutors to uphold the law.
