Six Kenyan traders killed in Dhobley, Somalia in presumed Al-Shabaab attack
Six Kenyan traders were violently murdered in a cross-border shooting on Friday.
The strike happened in the Somalia border town of Dhobley, authority said.
The victims were allegedly vendors who repeatedly go across the border to open their stores in Dhobley, a familiar practice for locals of the area.
Eyewitnesses narrated those shooters with covered faces, assumed to be Al-Shabaab militants, arrived in a white Probox motor vehicle around 7:15 am and opened fire at random on the Kenyan merchants.
The unexpected incident left four dead at the scene, while two others who sustained critical bullet wounds succumbed to their wounds during treatment at a local hospital, police said.
