Chelsea Suffer Blow As Romeo Lavia Ruled Out For Season
Chelsea midfielder Romeo Lavia was ruled out of the rest of the season on Wednesday after suffering yet another setback in his recovery from a thigh injury.
The 20-year-old Lavia with Mauricio Pochettino last summer from relegated Southampton late in the summer transfer window for a reported fee of $74 million, hasn’t appeared for Chelsea since sustaining a substantial injury on his Blues debut against Crystal Palace back in December.
The club has now confirmed that there is not a timeline for the midfielder to make a return to activities before the end of the present campaign.
This update also appears to conclude any prospects Lavia might have had of playing at Euro 2024 with Belgium.
