African Union to provide logistics, financial aid to SADC troops in Congo

The African Union (AU) Peace and Security Council on March 9^th 2024 endorsed the deployment of external troops to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), prevailing protestations from Rwanda, which saw collaboration for them as a threat.

The Southern African Development Community Mission (SAMIDRC) was deployed on December 15^th  of 2023. Following the validation, the African Union Commission is needed to provide required logistical and financial support to the mission.
