As the head Morani of social media, I have decided to say something and give my advice regarding the scandal of our canes (I do not support violence).

Originally, we the Masai are not quarrelsome people and we do not like evil at all, but we have one big problem, we do not like to be mistreated or oppressed at all, we do not have weakness in defending our rights.

We have also seen a ban on carrying our traditional weapons in order to protect the culture of Zanzibar, let it be known that our tribe is among the few remaining tribes in the world, which maintains its culture and traditions so preventing us for any reason that is psychologically harassing us!! We are afraid that you will stop us from walking without boxers when it is not our thing!

Why don’t you stop Islamic scholars walking half naked in the streets, come and stop us fellow Tanzanians? Walking naked in Watasha is Zanzibar’s culture? But how can you deny them when it is not a sin to them, how can you deny us fellow Africans?

My leaders I request you to play the beat of the president Dr Hussein Mwinyi, the beat of the blue economy, the beat that we the Masai who live in Zanzibar play with all the rhythms, we fully participate in supporting our tourism, do not do that to us we came to feel oppressed!!

We love Zanzibar so much and we respect your culture and that is why we can even sing Taarab these days, we dance to Msewe and Kidumbak, we eat Urojo and Boflo breads, whereas our main food is milk and meat.

Slowly let us live by tolerating each other, my brothers.
