Lenny Kravitz’s Barbie has just been released: The new doll mirrors his rockstar style right down to the nose ring

The latest Kenbassador collectible from Mattel features Lenny Kravitz's stage outfit, complete with locs, tattoos, shades, and accents from his Blue Electric Light Tour. Mattel revealed all about Lenny Kravitz's Barbie. Lenny Kravitz joined Mattel's latest celebrity collection with the Barbie Signature Kenbassador doll on Thursday, September 17. The $70 collectible is available online from Mattel and other major stores, according to Mattel Creations. The Barbie Instagram post explained why Kravitz was chosen for the collection: “Rockstar style. Genre-bending music. 

New Barbie Kenbassador Lenny Kravitz brings his tremendous stage presence to these classic figures. Now at major shops online.” Lenny Kravitz is the second Barbie Signature Kenbassadors Collection honoree. The line was introduced in 2025 with LeBron James as its inaugural honoree to reward those whose cultural impact transcends their field. Barbie's 2026 65th anniversary coincides with Kravitz's arrival. Therefore, Kravitz's particular flair dominates the design. 

Mattel's official product listing claims the doll was molded in his likeness and wears a bronze mesh cowl-neck tank, boot-leg denim trousers, a studded belt, boots, and sunglasses. The figurine features his tattoos, nose ring, and characteristic locs, according to Mattel Creations. A doll stand and authenticity certificate come with the collection. The style is from Kravitz's Blue Electric Light Tour. Kravitz and Barbie worked on the doll's details, including stage accessories. People said the sunglasses were modeled after an antique pair, and one necklace was Kravitz's mother's. That much attention makes sense for an artist whose dress is almost as famous as his music. 

Mattel calls the doll a tribute to his music, fashion, art, acting, production, and design. The firm claims Kravitz sold over 50 million records globally. He has four Grammys and nine nominations, including four consecutive Best Male Rock Vocal Performance awards from 1999 to 2002. The timing also links the item to his next career cycle. The doll commemorates Kravitz's Blue Electric Light Tour and career as a singer, songwriter, guitarist, record producer, actor, and designer. 

After he released his 2024 album “Blue Electric Light,” his tour inspired the Kenbassador figure. Collectors have another Black cultural hero to add to Mattel's Kenbassadors lineup after James started it last year. The Lenny Kravitz Barbie reflects his iconic rock music, bold attire, and stage presence that never required him to appear or sound like anybody else for decades.
