Claressa Shields expresses that "Jezebel" is a commendable song and emphasizes that its message was necessary

Papoose's record "Jezebel" dropped September 11, the same day as his Remy Ma divorce hearing. He never names Remy, but the song describes the marriage's breakdown, claims he wrote her raps, and mentions bailing her out and sending her money. Following 17 years, Remy filed for divorce in 2023 and separated in late 2024.

Claressa Shields counts Remy's three diss singles. Remy released “W.Y.F.L.” and “Wanna Go” before Claressa's August battle, and she teased “Why I Get Married” with Keke Wyatt.
