According to Turkey, 13 Kurdish insurgents were slain in northern Iraq

According to the defense ministry on Tuesday, Turkish soldiers used airstrikes to target Kurdish militants in northern Iraq, killing thirteen members of the banned Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).

The government announced in a statement that the PKK terrorists had been “neutralized” in the northern Iraqi areas of Gara and Haftanin. The phrase “neutralised” used by the ministry usually refers to death.

According to an earlier statement from the defense ministry, Turkey’s military carried out airstrikes in northern Iraq on Friday, destroying 25 targets that were believed to be Kurdish militants. According to the report, these objectives included buildings, depots, caves, shelters, and bunkers.

Turkey, the US, and the EU have all classified the PKK, which has been fighting the Turkish government since 1984, as a terrorist organization. In the fighting, almost 40,000 people have lost their lives.
