Tragic Shooting Claims Life of Esteemed Owner of The Boiler Seafood in Atlanta

A beloved Atlanta restaurant owner was tragically shot and killed in a shocking afternoon attack.

Chad Dillon, the proprietor of The Boiler Seafood restaurant in Buckhead, was apparently cruising in his Rolls Royce at approximately 4:00 p.m. Without any apparent motive, an individual fired shots at Dillon while he was in his vehicle on 480 John Wesley Dobbs Ave NE in the Old Ward neighborhood. When the police arrived at the scene, they found Dillon with several gunshot wounds, and tragically, he did not survive.

Atlanta News First received confirmation from Dillon’s attorney, Malcolm Conner, that he was indeed the murder victim. As per Conner, the 33-year-old had intentions of launching a fresh Jamaican eatery in the vicinity. He also co-owned The Seafood Menu with rapper Lil Baby, which opened in July 2023, alongside his venture at The Boiler Seafood. In that very month, Dillon garnered attention as The Boiler Room achieved a remarkable milestone, surpassing the $8 million mark since its inauguration in December 2020. His establishment was the first seafood boil restaurant in Buckhead, and in a chat with TravelNoire, Dillon attributed his success to his dedication to learning the business and being involved in every aspect of his eatery.

I thrive on creativity and problem-solving, constantly seeking out opportunities to fill gaps in the market and develop innovative solutions. Whether it’s conceptualizing and bringing to life unique restaurant ideas, crafting delicious new menu items, or crafting unforgettable customer experiences, I love the process of turning ideas into reality. I’m also quite practical,” he mentioned to the outlet in May 2022.

Currently, the authorities have not disclosed any details about potential individuals involved in the investigation.
