A few hours after his Louisville summer jam show, EST Gee’s manager was killed

Rapper EST Gee’s manager is said to have died after his Saturday Summer Jam performance in Louisville, the rapper’s birthplace.

Officers from Louisville Metro Police responded to reports of gunfire in the 800 block of West Main Street on Sunday morning, just before 1:30 a.m. Devontae Beach, 31, was found suffering from several gunshot wounds. Beach, regrettably, was declared deceased at the spot. The authorities have not yet made any suspects or the reason for the killing public.

As the manager of the CMG signee, Beach has gone by the handle EST Beach on a number of blogs. The rapper was in town for his much awaited EST Gee & Friends show in Louisville. Among the guests who joined the “Lick Back” rapper on stage were Yo Gotti and 42 Dugg. It was Gee’s first performance in the city in four years. He criticized Louisville Police last year for stopping his previous performances. The police department declared they would be beefing up security for his Saturday appearance just one day prior.

In a statement provided to WDRB, LMPD stated, “We are aware of this event and the potential public safety risk involved.”

EST and no CMG affiliate have released a statement regarding the death.
