Flick will give Barcelona a more straightforward look

Hansi Flick, the new coach of Barcelona, stated that while he values the team’s long-standing passing game, he also wants to implement a more direct approach that is goal-oriented.

After dismissing Xavi Hernandez, Barca hired the former manager of Germany and Bayern Munich for a two-year term as head coach. He was given the responsibility of improving the team’s performance after their unsuccessful season without a trophy.

In a Monday interview, Flick stated to Barca ONE, “Here the tradition is to play with passing, but I also want them to go straight to the goal.” They ought to give scoring a little more attention. Not that my style has changed all that much.

“To play in the opponent’s midfield and to press high up are the same goals I have in mind. But ultimately, winning games is what matters most.”

On July 30, Barcelona travels to Florida to play Manchester City, and on August 17, they begin their league season at Valencia.
