Serbian Milenkovic leaves Fiorentina to join Forest

After spending seven years at Fiorentina, Serbian center back Nikola Milenkovic signed a five-year contract with Nottingham Forest, the Premier League team announced on Thursday.

The 26-year-old Milenkovic, who participated in all three of Serbia’s Euro 2024 matches, has 57 caps for his country and 216 Serie A appearances for Fiorentina, helping the team to the Europa Conference League final in May.

Ross Wilson, the chief football officer of Forest, stated in a statement, “We have long admired his performances with the Serbian national team, and in Serie A and European competitions for Fiorentina.”

“He is a key part of our squad planning this summer and I know how enthusiastic he has been to join.”

On August 17, Forest’s first Premier League game of the season takes place at home against Bournemouth.
