Morocco’s tourism ministry announced on Wednesday that the country welcomed 7.4 million tourists in the first half of this year, a 14% increase over the same period previous year.

A record 14.5 million tourists visited the nation last year. According to official estimates, it anticipates drawing 17.5 million tourists in 2026 and 26 million by 2030, when Morocco, Spain, and Portugal would share hosting duties for the World Cup. Morocco’s GDP is 7% derived from tourism, which also serves as a major source of foreign exchange.
