Jamie Foxx says he had a “bad headache” before his mysterious illness began. “I Was Away for Twenty Days”
The actor went into further detail regarding the ailment that sent him to the hospital in April of last year.
More information regarding the mysterious disease that sent Jamie Foxx to the hospital in April of last year is being released.
In a video posted to X, a website that was formerly known as Twitter, the 56-year-old actor discussed the early stages of his health scare. The video was uploaded by The Art of the Dialogue.
“Look, I had a bad headache on April 11th last year,” Foxx says to the throng of people gathered around him at an outdoor café in Phoenix. I begged for an Advil from my boy.
He gives a finger snap.
Foxx said, “I was gone for twenty days.” “I have no memory of anything.”
Referring to his sister Deidra Dixon and daughter Corinne Foxx, “so they told me—I’m in Atlanta—so they told me my sister and my daughter took me to the first doctor,” Foxx added.
He says to the woman next to him, “They gave me a cortisone shot.” (The Mayo Clinic states that a cortisone injection is intended to “relieve pain, swelling, and irritation.”)
Pointing to his head, he said, “The next doctor said something’s going on up there.”
The audience laughed as the Academy Award winner said, “I won’t say it on camera.”
As the film came to a conclusion, he shrugged and trailed off, “But it was.”
Previously, Foxx claimed that his sister Deidra had saved his life during his medical emergency, posting on Instagram with the caption, “Without you, I would not be here. I would have perished if you had not taken the choices that you did.”
The actor has hinted at a return to stand-up comedy, where he promises to address the incident. He most recently made a comeback to the FOX competition Beat Shazam, having missed season 6 due to illness.
Foxx made reference to his health issue in February when he said, “I’m going to be on stage somewhere near you.” I have a story to tell and some laughs to share.
