Ten Hag requests the Bafana legend

In reference to Benni McCarthy’s immediate future—he is expected to depart the Manchester United team in the upcoming weeks—manager Erik Ten Hag of Manchester United has made one request.

Ten Hag will continue to lead the team for the upcoming season, according to United, according to one of the biggest tales in Premier League football in recent days.

Ten Hag’s future was uncertain when the Premier League season ended in eighth place, but it’s thought that he may sign a new contract with Carrington before the 2024–2025 season.

But now, as the Express reports, Ten Hag wants United to offer McCarthy a new contract as well, according to a Times article.

Although he is regarded as a “positive influence” behind the scenes, the South African football great was frequently commended for extracting the best performance out of Marcus Rashford in the past.

Benni, as he is more well known, expressed his desire to return to coaching and was recently linked to a transfer to South African PSL team Kaizer Chiefs. Ten Hag has requested that the former FC Porto player stay at United, though.
