Tanzania issues a wind and wave advisory

Over the next four days, 11 regions, including Dar es Salaam, are expected to be affected by strong winds and large waves, according to a warning issued by the Tanzania Meteorological Authority (TMA).

According to TMA’s severe weather forecasts, which were made public on Monday, the areas may experience heavy gusts of up to 40 kilometers per hour and waves as high as two meters in Tanga and Pwani islands between June 11 and June 14.

Mafia Isles, Lindi, Mtwara, and Unguja are some of the other areas.

The bad weather is predicted to interfere with marine and economic operations, posing serious problems for local businesses and residents.

Kagera, Geita, Mwanza, Mara, Simiyu, and the Lake Victoria basin are among the other areas that will be affected.

TMA cautioned, urging people to take the appropriate safety precautions and reduce any possible interruptions.
