Eminem made a surprising disappearance at the “Live From Detroit: The Concert at Michigan Central” event.

After Diana Ross, Big Sean, and other artists had finished their performances, the rapper, who is 51 years old, shocked the audience by unexpectedly appearing on stage during the event held on Thursday, June 6.

Bill Ford, executive chair of Ford, enthusiastically introduced the musician on stage, acknowledging their legendary status. He is a prominent representative for our city on the international stage. He has a strong affinity for our city, and our city reciprocates that affection. He has become a member of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Ladies and gentlemen, let’s give a warm welcome to Eminem.”

The singer, known for his hit song “The Real Slim Shady,” hails from the outskirts of Detroit. He took the stage in a casual gray hoodie and basketball cap, delivering an energetic performance of his new track “Houdini.” He also treated the audience to renditions of “Sing for the Moment” alongside Jelly Roll, “Welcome 2 Detroit” featuring rapper Trick Trick, and his popular track “Not Afraid.”

On X (formerly Twitter), there are videos of country singer Jelly Roll, 39, performing “Dream On” before the “Rap God” musician takes the stage with a powerful rendition of “Sing for the Moment,” eliciting enthusiastic cheers from the audience.

Videos posted on X show the star performing with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, while pyrotechnics light up the stage to his songs. The event came to a grand finale with a spectacular firework display.

Eminem’s family made a special appearance to express their support at the show. His daughter Hailie Jade, 28, and her new husband Evan McClintock were seen in the audience, while his other children Alaina Marie, 31, and Stevie Laine, 22, were also present at the show.

The event was organized to commemorate the grand reopening of the Michigan Central Station in Detroit, which had ceased operations in 1988 due to extensive deterioration.
