Amidst allegations of sexual assault, Diddy was compelled to distance himself from his company

Given the pressure on his shoulders, Diddy’s reign at Revolt appears to be coming to an end. The music mogul was forced to leave the business he co-founded in 2013 as a result of credible claims of sexual assault.

The once-famous music icon Diddy is currently navigating a difficult time due to the numerous charges leveled against him.

Amidst allegations of sexual assault, Diddy sells the majority stake in Rebellion.

Selling the majority of his shares in Revolt signaled his formal separation from the business he co-founded in 2013. Revolt’s CEO, Detavio Samuels, supposedly attested to Diddy’s removal from all equity and shares.

“One hundred percent of Sean Combs’s shares have been redeemed and retired,” Samuels said. The CEO made it clear that the record producer had no official positions within the company, as reported by The New York Times. To quote him:

“He is not the chairman anymore. He is off the board now. He is not an equity or share holder in Revolt. We no longer communicate or associate with one another at all.”

The choice was made in the middle of Diddy’s storm of scandal, which was sparked by the discovery of surveillance film purportedly depicting him abusing Cassie Ventura in a hotel corridor.

Employees of Revolt reacted strongly to the unnerving film, expressing profound regret and concern over Combs’s conduct. According to their statement:

“We are deeply saddened and disturbed by the recent video circulation of our former chairman, Sean’ Diddy’ Combs.”

It’s shocking to learn that Diddy has been the target of seven separate sexual assault cases in less than a year.

Diddy Resigned From His Position As Chairman of Revolt

Notably, Diddy had temporarily resigned from his position as chairman of Revolt in November 2023 due to rape allegations made by his ex-girlfriend Cassie.

Even in the face of the grave charges, The Blast noted that the reasons Diddy left his position were still shrouded in mystery.

Even though he wished to remain silent, rumors about his intentions spread quickly. Some suggested that he might be handling Cassie’s case’s fallout, which was purportedly settled out of court.

Some conjectured that extraneous elements, such coercion from the organization’s board of directors, might have impacted his choice.

Diddy and Cassie Ventura settled their legal dispute.

Even though Diddy had to cope with the fallout from Cassie’s lawsuit, it was unexpected that the ex-couple decided to reach a private settlement rather than fight it out in court.

Diddy said in a statement that they had chosen a peaceful conclusion after it was reached. Ben Brafman, Diddy’s attorney, quickly released a statement to clear up any misunderstandings over the deal. Brafman explained:

To be clear, agreeing to a litigation settlement—especially in 2023—does not imply an admission of guilt. In no way does Mr. Combs’ choice to resolve the litigation contradict his categorically asserted denial of the allegations. He wishes Ms. Ventura the best and is glad they were able to come to an amicable agreement.”

Cassie added her voice to the discussion by defending her choice to drop all additional legal proceedings. She said in her statement that she hoped for a settlement that gave her some “control,” and she also thanked her “family, fans, and lawyers for their unwavering support.”

The Startling Claims Cassie Made Against Diddy

The singer filed a thorough 35-page complaint in the Southern District of New York United States District Court.

The accusation included graphic details of purported physical and sexual abuse, as well as coercive control methods, that Diddy had inflicted against her.

In the affidavit, the claimed assault was described in a distressing manner. The mother of two described one especially painful episode that she said happened during Paris Fashion Week in 2011.

In this instance, Cassie alleged that Diddy physically beat her with a manual corkscrew after becoming enraged after learning of emails she had exchanged with singer Kid Cudi.

Cassie said that she was forced to return by a Diddy agent after making her way to Kid Cudi’s house. The lawsuit also claims that there was another incident of violence in 2015 during Paris Fashion Week.

Cassie reported that Diddy had physically abused her in a hotel suite this time. The dancer claimed that Diddy made her put on makeup in an unsettling attempt to hide the obvious indications of abuse, in order to hide the assault.

Diddy might be charged with a crime as his legal issues get worse.

Even though Cassie’s choice to reach a settlement peacefully was a big step forward, Diddy’s legal problems were not completely resolved.

According to recent reports from The Blast, witnesses may be called to testify in court if the U.S. Justice Department decides to file an indictment against Diddy for his alleged offenses.

Diddy has been the subject of eight legal lawsuits since November 2023, seven of which specifically charge him of sexual assault.

One of these accusations is about his son Christian Combs; Diddy is accused of encouraging and abetting the alleged sexual assault of Combs, who has also been identified in relation to these allegations.

The remaining accusers have apparently been told by investigators that they might be asked to appear before a federal grand jury in New York City.

This action suggests that the inquiry has moved past the initial phase, when law enforcement usually evaluates possible legal transgressions.

A Homeland Security Investigations Agency (HSI) spokesman, however, declined to acknowledge the grand jury’s existence, according to CNN. Instead, they made it clear that they were still conducting research.
