Eight Moroccans die from methanol intoxication, according to the ministry

In the village of Sidi Allal Tazi, north of Rabat, bootleg alcohol laced with methanol resulted in eight fatalities and 81 persons being monitored by medical professionals, the health ministry announced on Wednesday.

According to a statement from the ministry, all of the deaths were reported at a hospital on Tuesday and Wednesday while the incident was being looked into by officials.
