The second night of Megan Thee Stallion’s sold-out concert has been postponed; the new date is unknown

The State Farm Arena has announced that Megan Thee Stallion will not be performing there on Saturday night.

“The City of Atlanta is unable to accommodate the Megan Thee Stallion performance scheduled for tonight after speaking with the Mayor’s office regarding the ongoing water leak issues affecting downtown Atlanta,” the statement said.

State Farm Arena has been impacted by water main breaks that have left parts of Atlanta without water or under a boil water advisory.

Megan Thee Stallion stated that she still wanted to perform for her Atlanta fans in spite of the problems, but it’s not certain if she’ll be able to move the performance to Saturday night.

On Saturday afternoon, she updated followers via a live video stream on Instagram from the State Farm Arena stage. Make the mayor’s appointment! They’ve been telling us we can perform all day,” she remarked. She stated in the video that her team is looking into alternate locations in the metro Atlanta area.

State Farm Arena has not provided an update on the status of Saturday’s performance; Friday’s show was postponed and rescheduled for Sunday.

Megan Thee Stallion hinted to a big surprise for her Atlanta fans on X, the previous Twitter platform, when she voiced her disappointment about the cancellation of Friday’s event.

Elizabeth Rawlins of Channel 2 covered the State Farm Arena outside on Friday night. Fans vented their dissatisfaction at having to come to the city for a show that was postponed until one hour before it was supposed to start.

The Sunday event is still planned, but it’s not certain when the city’s water supply will be restored. There is no date offered by Atlanta Watershed Management officials for when repairs will be finished and water service will be restored.
