Christina Milian Offers Cassie Support Following the Release of Diddy’s Brutal Assault Video

After a video of Cassie Ventura’s 2016 hotel attack by her ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs went viral, Christina Milian recently showed support for the woman. Diddy issued an apology on Instagram and said he was seeking therapy because he was in a “very dark place”.

But a number of people, including Cassie’s lawyer, have attacked his apologies, calling it phony and self-serving. The LA County District Attorney is unable to pursue legal action against Diddy since the statute of limitations has passed, despite the fact that CNN was able to obtain footage of Diddy assaulting Cassie.

Speaking to the DailyMail at the Cannes Film Festival’s Global Gift Gala, Milian showed support for her friend Cassie in the wake of a distressing video that surfaced online that showed Ventura being beaten by her former lover Diddy in a hotel hallway.

The “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” actress applauded Cassie for having the guts to report the assault. “I think this shows that this occurs more frequently,” she remarked. more frequently than you might imagine. My love, support, and heart are with Cassie.”

“She’s actually a friend of mine,” she went on. Therefore, I would really like to keep her and her family’s privacy private. However, I also think I love her a lot and I’m hoping for the best for her, especially since she’s going through something so noticeable.”

“I absolutely think it’s important for victims of domestic violence to speak up,” Milian said, emphasizing the significance of speaking out against domestic abuse. Years, I believe, many have, and I believe it’s critical that they do so in order for us to put an end to it. I like that they would force us to put an end to any heinous abuse.”

Following the release of the video, Diddy apologized in public on Instagram, blaming his behavior on being in a “very dark place” at the time. He stated: “I hit rock bottom, but I make no excuses.”

The 54-year-old said, “It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that,” looking directly at the camera. I was really screwed up.”

“But I make no excuses,” he went on. My actions [in] the video are unacceptable. I accept all accountability for the things I did in that video. I’m abhorred. When I first did it, I was disgusted, and I still am.”

“I went and looked for expert assistance. Had to start seeing a therapist. Rehab was necessary. needed to beg God for his forgiveness and grace. I really apologize. However, I’m determined to [be] a better man every single day. Furthermore, I’m not pleading for pardon. I really apologize,” Diddy said.

Last week, disturbing security video showed Diddy shoving, kicking, dragging, and forcefully seizing his ex-girlfriend Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel in 2016. The rapper was seen chasing the singer of “Official Girl” down the hallway of the InterContinental Hotel in Century City in the video, which CNN was able to obtain. He was shirtless and had a towel around his waist.

Diddy grabbed her by the back of her head and threw her to the ground as she tried to get into an elevator. Then, while she lay on the ground in a daze, he kicked her and grabbed the two high-end purses she had attempted to go with.

Diddy booted her once more while standing over her and hauled her back to their room by the hoodie. In a lawsuit that has since been settled, Ventura stated that Diddy had given the hotel $50,000 for the video that was taken after the incident.

The LA County District Attorney declared they could not charge Diddy for the assault since the statute of limitations had run out after the CCTV film went public.

The statute of limitations in California is one year for simple assault and three years for aggravated assault. This chronology meant that Diddy could not be charged with anything.

Tracy Walder, a former special agent, reportedly said that because there was video of the troubled music mogul abusing Cassie, he “quickly” resolved the assault complaint. The rapper, she revealed, “never expected the video to get out.”

Walder claims that since the statute of limitations has run out, Diddy cannot be charged with felony assault.

“In California, there is a three-year statute of limitations for felonious attacks. She wouldn’t be able to bring assault or battery charges in Los Angeles because this was related to an event from 2016,” the law enforcement officer informed People magazine.

Cassie’s lawyer, Meredith Firetog, attacked Diddy following his public apology, saying, “Combs’ most recent statement is more about himself than the many people he has hurt.” He denied everything and said that his victims were just seeking money when Cassie and several other women came out.”

“That he was only compelled to ‘apologize’ once his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation, and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words,” the lawyer continued.

In response to Diddy’s video apology, his fans also voiced doubt and rage in the comments section.

A follower said, “You claimed you didn’t do anything improper. You deceived her and all of us, and your apology only became apparent after the release of the video. Go now, bro.

Another said, “You are a shame! You only expressed regret after it was made public.”
