“I had to be patient,” said Amrabat

After a good finish to the 2023–24 season, Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has stated that his time at Manchester United was not easy.

After spending a considerable amount of time in Erik Ten Hag’s starting lineup, the African star has emerged as one of United’s top players in recent weeks. It has previously been claimed that United has chosen not to sign the 27-year-old on a permanent basis. He is currently on loan from Fiorentina.

Looking back on his tenure with the squad, Amrabat feels he could have made a bigger impact if he was a regular football player. The Moroccan did, however, say that he was glad to assist his teammates when needed.

Amrabat said to MUTV, “It was not easy, of course, because everybody wants to play.”

“I was always prepared for the team, but I had to exercise patience. Whether it’s for a minute or ten, I’m there for them when and when they need me. I always strive to support the squad throughout training and give it my all.

“I believe there is only one thing you can do: put in a lot of effort at work and wait for the right moment. Even though it’s the end of the season and it may be a little late, I’m glad we got the chance and won today.

While it’s encouraging to demonstrate oneself, my play still isn’t up to Sofyan Amrabat’s level. I haven’t played 90 minutes in a game in four or five months, so I’m not at 100% like I usually am.
