Awoniyi is certain Forest will avoid relegation in the Premier League

Taiwo Awoniyi has stated that he is completely confident that Nottingham Forest will avoid relegation in the Premier League.

With a last game on Sunday against already-relegated Burnley, Forest is just three points outside the relegation zone.

This coming Saturday, Luton Town must defeat Fulham at home in order to have any chance of surviving at the cost of Forest.

Awoniyi feels optimistic about his team’s prospects of playing in the top division next season, even if he has only played four minutes of meaningful time in his past two games.

“I believe that we will be present. The most crucial thing is to win the next game, the 27-year-old stated following Chelsea’s Saturday loss. “We’ll be in the Premier League next season,” he added.

The former Liverpool striker also allayed any concerns about playing for Nuno Espirito Santo’s team the following year.

That’s a difficult one, but I’m here and I still have a contract with Nottingham Forest. I’m a Nottingham Forest player for the time being,” he stated.
