Tyrese Gibson says, “I live and walk in my truth,” as he intensifies his public legal matter address

Tyrese Gibson has a history of receiving abuse from his former spouses, particularly from Norma Mitchell Gibson, who was his first wife. But at last, he is refuting the accusations with 167 pages of verified information.

The “Fast & Furious” actor said on Instagram that he had filed court papers against his ex-wife because he was sick of “living in fear” while she defamed his reputation. His message was clear: for males to be taken seriously, they required receipts.

Tyrese posted a portion of his court filings against his first wife on Tuesday, but the enlargement obscured the details of the case. Rather, the actor clarified the circumstances in the description of the post, composing:

“I’m addressing at last because I need to. After reading your remarks, this is my reply. I’m done suffering in quiet and being afraid of the future. 167 papers were filed at 111 Hill Street, the Los Angeles courthouse.

“No lies and no goofy s-it… everything in these court docs has real receipts attached,” Tyrese emphasized in his documents. He maintained that, in contrast to situations involving women, evidence of unfairness suffered by men was more important.

According to the actor’s article, the injustices in this instance seemed to be related to the crimes his ex-wife had committed against him. The list encompassed “Blackmail, extortion, defamation, death threats, tax evasion, forged signatures, falsified bank statements, domestic and international wire fraud,” in addition to “money laundering.”

In addition to criticizing his ex-wife, the TV personality emphasized the difficulties men encounter in the legal system. He said that none of the information he emphasized in the court filings would ever matter because he was a guy by birth.

“Don’t worry… “Don’t hold your breath; there will not be any videos uploaded of crying people,” Gibson went on, emphasizing that the only things he stood to lose were “peace and sanity.”

Regarding the incident involving his first marriage, he said, “Never ever forget…” as he wrapped up the message. The deception will always seem to be more important than the reality.

Fans reacted differently to Gibson’s remarks; although some males identified with the challenges of their own gender, others found it difficult to empathize with the actor’s “poor choices.”

After Gibson’s tweet, hundreds of admirers responded, and the actor approved of two of the remarks. One of the pinned messages mentioned the well-known legal dispute between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp and said:

Johnny Depp is a prime example. Men are equally vulnerable to victimization as women are.”

“I’m sorry to hear and you are correct,” wrote a fan in response to the first comment, which was written with sympathy. Men suffer in silence most of the time, and I think that’s unfair.”

The person told Gibson he was headed in the right direction and said they were going through something similar. Not everyone shared the actor’s sympathy, though; one Instagram user implied the actor was suffering as a result of “poor choices.”

Another commenter criticized his article, saying, “This is called HIPPA, don’t you know!” I’m trying to figure out why you have to address privacy on Instagram. I still adore you, even if you don’t owe us anything. It seems like you want us to see what’s happening.”

According to The Blast, the rapper-turned-actor was sued by his second ex-wife, Samantha Lee, three months prior to speaking with Norma about his problems. She charged him with neglecting to provide Soraya, their daughter, with child support.

Lee said in the court filing that Gibson was forced to pay $10,690 for their child. But in December 2023 and January 2024, “[the actor] unilaterally decided to pay only $3,500.00 in child support.”

Lee filed a third motion for contempt against Gibson in this litigation; the first was on March 2, 2023. The actor was found in “willful contempt” by the court at the time for not paying child support, but in July 2023, he committed the same crime again.

In addition to threatening to sue him for unpaid child support, Lee was said to have had a role in Tyrese breaking up with Zelie Timothy, his longterm girlfriend. It is said that the latter dumped him because of his songs about his ex-wife.

The TV personality shared the promo for his new album, “Beautiful Pain,” on Instagram along with the devastating news of his breakup with Timothy. In the caption for the photo, he stated that their relationship with Lee ended badly, writing:

“I’m coming after them since my neighborhood’s power outage has ruined my plans for the Super Bowl. And Zelie and I recently broke up over a stupid thing.”

Then he said, “Keep this in mind. Because there are too many songs about my ex on my album, she insisted that I cancel it. Fuck, what does that even mean?
