Furniture Company Sues Tristan Thompson for “Breach of Contract” and “Unjust Enrichment”

A luxury furniture company has filed a lawsuit against NBA player Tristan Thompson, alleging breach of contract.

The Blast was able to get legal documents that show Thompson breached his contract with the company by not adhering to the terms of the agreement after receiving outdoor furniture as a gift.

The business Luxury Outdoor Solutions asserts in its lawsuit that it gave Thompson a number of outdoor furniture items, such as club chairs, couches, a coffee table, and an ottoman.

Thompson purportedly consented, on June 31, 3023, to provide the business with “minimum of 10-15 high-resolution images,” publicity through postings on his Instagram page (with credit given), and “editorial exposure” in the Architectural Digest magazine in exchange for the furniture.

However, following his “25-game suspension after testing positive for ibutamoren,” Thompson is said to have neglected to take any of these actions.

The entire market value of the outdoor furniture that was delivered to the athlete, or $53,173, was lost as a result of his breach of contract, causing damages to the corporation.

Thompson, 33, is being sued by Luxury Outdoor Solutions for “breach of contract” and “unjust enrichment,” alleging that he “accepted and retained” the furniture as “benefits” from the business.

In addition to requesting $53,173 in damages, the corporation is also asking Thompson to pay legal fees. Thompson has not yet replied to the legal action.

The NBA confirmed earlier in January that Thompson would miss 25 games without pay as a result of breaking the league’s anti-drug policy. The growth hormone stimulant Ibutamoren and the muscle enhancer SARM LGD-4033, which are prohibited by the NBA and are known to help with muscle growth, were detected in the Cleveland Cavaliers forward’s test results.

Thompson was suspended without warning and was unable to play in any games until the middle of March. The Cavaliers voiced their sadness but reaffirmed their commitment to the NBA/NBPA Anti-Drug Program while pledging to support Thompson during his ban.

“The Cleveland Cavaliers fully support the NBA/NBAPA Anti-Drug Program, and we are disappointed in the recent news surrounding Tristan Thompson,” they wrote to CBS. “Our team will be impacted by his absence from the game. We support Tristan and are standing behind him during this suspension.

After joining the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016, Thompson has played for multiple clubs in the NBA. Before joining the Cavaliers again in 2023, he played for the Boston Celtics, Sacramento Kings, Indiana Pacers, Chicago Bulls, and Los Angeles Lakers.

In addition to his professional difficulties, Thompson is facing difficulties paying child support to Maralee Nichols, the mother of his two-year-old son, Theo.

According to the U.S. Sun, new court records indicate that payments were not made between September 15, 2023, and January 31, 2024, even though the parties were ordered to pay $9,500 every month.

The athlete is currently required by a judge to pay $57,916 in arrears for child support. It’s unclear, though, if Thompson has started making his monthly payments again.

Thompson has allegedly not seen his two-year-old kid since Maralee took over his rearing.

The NBA champion withheld payment from Maralee until he had seen the outcome of Theo’s paternity test. After it was established that Theo was his son, Thompson publicly expressed regret for his conduct and accepted responsibility for Theo to Khloe Kardashian, his former partner.

“Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols,” he wrote at the time. I accept complete accountability for my deeds. After paternity has been verified, I’m excited to raise our son in a friendly manner.”

He went on to say: “I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately.”

“You don’t deserve this, Khloe. The pain and embarrassment I have brought upon you are not something you deserve. The way I’ve treated you throughout the years is not something you deserve.” “My actions have definitely not aligned with my perception of you,” he continued. You have my undying love and respect. Contrary to what you might believe. Once more, I apologize profusely.”

Before turning forty, Kardashian is reportedly thinking about having a third child with the sportsman. Tatum, 1, and True, 6, their daughter and son, are already together.

“Khloe has always wanted a big family like her sisters and always said she wanted four children,” an insider who spoke to The Sun revealed. She is very seriously considering using Tristan as a surrogate to have a third child.”

The creator of nice American apparently views Thompson as a devoted father despite their turbulent history since he has “always been a good dad and she loves co-parenting with him.”

“She’s telling friends that since his mother passed, he’s really grown up as a person,” according to an insider. “She’s turning 40 soon and wants to take control of her life and go after what she wants – and that’s a third child.”
