Post Malone Provides a Behind-the-Scenes Snapshot of His Sincere Thoughts About Working With Taylor Swift

Post Malone gave his candid assessment of working with pop sensation Taylor Swift after having a major part in the first music video she produced in support of The Tortured Poets Department.

On Friday, April 19, Swift’s eleventh studio album was launched, barely hours before the music video for her brand-new single “Fortnight” was made available. With a featured credit for Post Malone, the song debuted as the opening track of the unexpected double album.

Apart from his involvement in the song, Post Malone, 28, co-starred with Swift, 34, in the music video for “Fortnight,” which was directed by Swift. By Sunday, April 21, just two days after it was released, the video had already received over 25.8 million views.

Post Malone posted a behind-the-scenes picture of himself with Swift on a couch on Saturday, April 20. The rapper-singer stared straight at the camera with his hands resting on something in front of him. The “Cruel Summer” singer, meanwhile, sat next to him with her head resting on one hand while wearing trousers and a black sweater.

“A person like @taylorswift comes into this world once in a lifetime,” the “Rockstar” rapper wrote in the caption of the shot he posted on Instagram. “Your heart and intelligence amaze me, and I feel really privileged to have been invited to support you on your path 🥹 I adore you so much. I’m grateful, Tay 💕.

Swift informed her fans on Instagram shortly after the video’s release that almost “everything in it is a metaphor or a reference to one corner of the album or another.” In her reflections, she also talked about her own experience working with Post Malone, saying that the tortured tragic hero “blew me away on set” and that she was “so grateful to him for everything he put into this collaboration.”

In addition to Post Malone, the music video for “Fortnight” featured cameos from actors Josh Charles and Ethan Hawke. Swift referred to Hawke and Charles as the “coolest guys on earth” and said she was “still laughing” after working with them on its production.
