“Salah is not playing well,” said Carragher.

Given Mohamed Salah’s current form, Liverpool icon Jamie Carragher thinks Jurgen Klopp has every right to leave the Egyptian out of his starting lineup.

This past Sunday, the Reds defeated Fulham 3-1 in the Premier League, with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ryan Gravenberch, and Diogo Jota scoring goals at Craven Cottage. The prolific forward was benched during the match.

After Liverpool’s elimination from the Europa League last week, Carragher believes Klopp made the right choice in benching Salah, who has blanked in his previous two league games.

Carragher stated, as reported by the Mirror, “Mo Salah is not an issue with tiredness because he stayed here during the international break, he’s been injured in the middle of the season.”

“At the moment, he’s not playing good enough. He may be more adept and knowledgeable coming off the bench.

“It was always going to be difficult to play four games in ten days away from home; Mac Allister has played a hell of a lot of football.”
