Frank Lampard criticizes Chelsea players following their most recent “embarrassing” loss

A Chelsea FC icon has criticized Senegalese attacker Nicolas Jackson for missing opportunities against Manchester City.

In the FA Cup semi-final match played on Saturday at London’s Wembley Stadium, the Blues lost Manchester City 1-0.

Throughout the game, the 22-year-old had multiple excellent chances to put Mauricio Pochettino’s team ahead of City, but he wasted them all.

“I feel for him a little bit because he’s a young striker and he made lots of good movements today where he’s racing Kyle Walker,” Lampard stated on GOAL.

Although he has demonstrated good mobility and pace, the difference in these elite games is in the finer points of technical skill and decision-making.

“It’s a goal when the header hits his body instead of anywhere else. The former goalscoring midfielder continued, “Little decision-making, I feel for him, we’ve all been there, we’ve all missed chances and it’s a crucial one for the game.”

“But to be a striker for Chelsea, you have to be at that level as a young player.”

In 36 competitive games during his rookie campaign, Jackson has scored 13 goals for the London giants.
