Iran’s drone and missile launches, according to Israeli President Herzog, constitute a declaration of war

Israel has revealed that, in reaction to Iran’s attacks, it is in talks with allies worldwide.

Over the weekend, Israeli President Isaac Herzog declared that the most recent Iranian assaults were a “declaration of war” on the State of Israel.

Israel revealed that it was in talks with its international allies and that it was already considering its options since it realized the consequences of what had occurred.

The G7 convened as well to assess the circumstances in light of the developments, but they quickly pledged to protect Israel’s security.

However, a senior administration official said that US President Joe Biden informed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the US would not support any counterattacks against Iran because the assaults seemed to have resulted in few deaths and damage.

The Russian Foreign Ministry added that at the same time, Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov issued warnings that “provocative acts” and a worsening of the situation could lead to further tension in the Middle East.

However, in the ongoing conflict between the two nations, the Nigerian government urged both Israel and Iran to use caution.

In a Sunday speech, Herzog declared, “This is real war.” This is a declaration of war, after all. We are now weighing all of our choices because we are restrained, aware of the consequences, and have discussed them with our partners. I am convinced that we will take the required actions to safeguard and defend our people.

This came after Iran launched 300 ballistic missiles and drones toward the nation on Saturday, and the Israeli war cabinet promised to demand a price from Iran at a moment that was convenient for them.
