A setback for Yanga SC as FIFA suspends the team for violating rules

FIFA, the world governing body, has prohibited Young Africans (Yanga SC), the winners of the Tanzanian Premier League, from finalizing transfer agreements due to their violation of the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players (RSTP).

Through their official Instagram account, the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) acknowledged the development on Friday. The announcement reads, “FIFA made the decision after the club failed to concede Annexe 3 of RSTP.”

It further emphasizes the fact that, despite being reminded to do so, Yanga failed to enter the relevant player’s payment evidence in the Transfer Matching System (TFS).

“After FIFA’s decision, TFF has since banned Yanga from conducting domestic player transfers. The club is tasked with adhering to the available regulations and submitting the information to the Secretariat of FIFA Disciplinary Committee where the issue has been taken for further action,” the statement reads.
