Arsenal versus Munich LIVE: Bukayo Saka’s late penalty is disallowed as the Champions League results are finalized

Harry Kane threatened to spoil the fun in the Champions League quarterfinal at the Emirates, but Arsenal managed to rescue a 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich thanks to a late equalizer from Leandro Trossard.

After an exciting match that saw Arsenal rally for a draw after falling down at the half due to a penalty kick by Kane, Mikel Arteta’s team will go to Munich the following week with the tie still up for grabs.

The former Tottenham striker came back to haunt Arsenal at the Emirates, where he scored more goals than any other player. The England captain was lucky to avoid a red card for elbowing Gabriel, though.

Buakyo Saka’s stunning finish into the corner gave Arsenal the perfect start to their first Champions League quarterfinal since 2010. However, a mistake in the Arsenal defense allowed Serge Gnabry to return to the Emirates and score against his old team.

Leroy Sane was taken down in the box, and Kane scored from the spot. Later in the half, Trossard tied the score for Arsenal with a brilliant move from Gabriel Jesus.

There was also late drama at the finish when Arsenal’s claims were rejected by the referee when Saka was hauled down in the box by Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
