Luke Fleurs, defender for Kaizer Chiefs, is shot and killed by carjackers

The football community in South Africa is grieving the loss of Luke Fleurs, a defender for Kaizer Chiefs, who passed away on Wednesday night.

Fleurs was allegedly shot and killed in a Florida carjacking incident.

Fleurs was driving west when he came across carjackers who demanded his car keys.

Tragically, it is reported that Fleurs was shot and killed for defying orders.

“It is with great sadness that we announce that Kaizer Chiefs player Luke Fleurs tragically lost his life last night during a hijacking incident in Johannesburg,” in a statement posted on X, formerly Twitter, Kaizer Chiefs said.
