Kenya proclaims EACRF operation in DR Congo ‘successful’ mission

Kenya believes the East African Community Regional Force (EACRF) that worked in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) until December 2023, was a successful mission.

At a public sermon in Nairobi, Kenya’s Prime Cabinet Administrator and Cabinet Administrator for Foreign Affairs Mr. Musalia Mudavadi defended the objective on be unsuccessful to take down armed groups, claiming the order limited the troops from taking sides.

But Mr. Mudavadi also proceeded into the normal uncertainty on the meaning of reconciliation, diplomacy and enforcement, claiming the EACRF were diplomats.

“The mandate that was given to the EACRF then was to have a one year of peacekeeping. And we finished our tour of duty as the EAC.
