Elon Musk Calling Out Trump Is a “Huge Mistake,” According to JD Vance

JD Vance supports the administration’s legislative agenda and responds to Elon Musk’s criticism of Trump.

In an interview this week, JD Vance didn’t mince words in his defense of Donald Trump, retaliating against Elon Musk’s recent internet assaults that rekindled hostilities between the two influential people.

Musk’s criticism of Trump’s centerpiece legislative proposal, the so-called “big, beautiful bill,” as a “disgusting abomination” due to concerns about deficit spending and the absence of savings set off the drama. Trump retaliated by threatening to revoke federal contracts with Musk’s businesses. Before removing the article, Musk further inflamed the situation by linking Trump to Jeffrey Epstein.

In an interview with Theo Von on the podcast “This Past Weekend,” Vance referred to Musk’s remarks as “a huge mistake.”

According to Vance, “I think it’s a huge mistake for him to go after the president like that.” “I don’t think it will be good for Elon either, but it will be bad for the country if he and the president have a blood feud.”

“Donald Trump did not do anything wrong with Jeffrey Epstein,” Vance said, dismissing the Epstein claims. That is complete bullshit.

Despite the conflict, Vance reaffirmed his loyalty to Trump and commended Musk’s leadership at the Department of Government Efficiency. Despite his desire that Musk “returns to the fold,” he declared, “I will always be loyal to the President.”

Vance also stated that the DOJ is looking into possible terrorism and that Musk’s businesses are under pressure as a result of his political shift, saying, “They’re literally, like, fire bombing some of his cars.”

He remarked of the measure, “It’s a good bill, it’s not a perfect bill.”
