Diddy was repeatedly spotted mistreating his ex-girlfriend Cassie

There have been several reports of Sean “Diddy” Combs mistreating his ex-partner Casandra “Cassie” Ventura.

In her evidence on Monday, witness Dawn Richard, 40, described the alleged attacks on his singer ex Cassie, 38, by the 55-year-old founder of Bad Boy Records, who is on trial in New York on federal counts including sex trafficking.

“Mr. Combs didn’t like that we talked to Cassie and often we would pay for it,” she said in court.

Dawn, a former member of Combs’ group Diddy-Dirty Money and the band Danity Kane, also testified before jurors that she witnessed Combs repeatedly using violence toward Cassie between 2009 and 2011.

She claimed that when Cassie “spoken up for herself,” she would be attacked, saying, “He would drag her and kick her and punch her in the mouth.”

“It would be on his time,” Dawn added in her testimony. She belonged to him. Very similar to “you’ll do it when I’m ready for you.” She needed to bide her time.

Dawn claimed that after Combs punched Cassie in one of the alleged incidents, Cassie “came into the bathroom crying.”

She was visibly unhappy. She said, “Like, she was hurt.”

Dawn also claimed that Harve Pierre and other Bad Boy Records staff members saw the abuse but chose not to stop it.

“He slapped Cassie in the mouth and told her to’shut the f*** up’ when we drove back to LA,” she recalled. “For the remainder of the ride, we were silent.”

Cassie’s longtime best friend Kerry Morgan, 39, also gave testimony on Monday.

She detailed two instances where she claimed Combs become aggressive in Los Angeles.

As Combs and his bodyguard, Reuben, drove by in search of them, Kerry whispered that she and Cassie had spent “about 30 minutes” hiding on strangers’ front steps during one reported confrontation.

Dawn signed to Bad Boy Records and joined Danity Kane in 2004 after first seeing Combs on MTV’s “Making the Band.”

Later, she became a member of Diddy’s Dirty Money.

Dawn testified in court that she saw Combs have a violent outburst at his Los Angeles residence in 2009, purportedly during his breakfast.

She claimed that when he arrived downstairs, he was furious and asked, “Where the f**k were his eggs?”

Dawn also said that Combs kept “punching and kicking her … (in the) body and her head” and tried to hit Cassie with a skillet.

The two-month-long trial of Combs comes after a series of lawsuits against the musician, including one Dawn filed in September 2024 alleging sexual abuse.

According to the lawsuit, Combs repeatedly sexually abused her, including once in a changing room when he allegedly grabbed her and said that she had a “a**” despite being “too skinny.”

“In an effort to rewrite history, Dawn Richard has now manufactured a series of false claims all in the hopes of trying to get a pay day – conveniently timed to coincide with her album release and press tour,” Combs’ lawyer, Erica Wolff, told Page Six regarding the complaint.

In 2016, Combs brutally attacked Cassie in a hotel, as captured on CCTV.

He has refuted every accusation made against him.
