The administration of Donald Trump The royal family of Qatar is apparently getting ready to give the Trump administration a lavish Boeing 747-8, a present so lavish it has been dubbed a “palace in the sky.” According to sources, this plane may be used as Air Force One before being given to the Trump Presidential Library Foundation.
Bloomberg reports that the agreement is anticipated to be made public during Trump’s next trip to Qatar. Since the beginning of his second term, this trip is his first foreign appearance.
The airplane, which is worth hundreds of millions of dollars, has been outfitted with opulent cabins and personalized features that rival those seen in five-star hotels. When the aircraft was based at West Palm Beach International Airport earlier this year, Trump himself was given a special tour of it.
Washington is taking notice of what would rank as one of the most extravagant foreign presents ever given to a U.S. president.
