Megan Thee Stallion Makes a Comeback With “Whenever,” A Fiery New Single

“Whenever,” Megan Thee Stallion’s debut solo single of 2025, has been released.

With a violent song that samples Ms. Cherry’s 2004 song “It’s Whatever,” the rap sensation is back.

The Bay Area production team Bankroll Got It, which specializes in hip-hop, trap, R&B, and pop, is the producer of “Whenever.”

The single is the “WAP” hitmaker’s first since she released “MEGAN: ACT II,” the deluxe edition of “Megan,” in October. That album included new tracks with Spiritbox, TWICE, Flo Milli, and RM of BTS.

With special guests Queen Latifah, Ciara, Victoria Monet, and Courtney LaPlante, Megan recently dominated Coachella.

She performed a medley of “Freak Nasty,” “Girls in the Hood,” “Where Them Girls At,” and “Savage” as well as a version of GloRilla’s “Wanna Be” during her impressive 18-song set on April 14.

Courtney, the frontwoman of Spiritbox, who previously collaborated with her band on a heavy metal remix of “Cobra,” joined Megan for the live premiere of their collaboration, “TYG.”

After a few tracks, she was joined by hip-hop legend Latifah for the strong female anthem “Plan B.” She then gave a moving performance of her own song, “U.N.I.T.Y.”

It wasn’t the last surprise.

When “Spin” made its live debut, Victoria came out and sang her song “On My Mama.”

Last but not least, Ciara contributed to the hip-hop powerhouse’s debut single “Roc Steady,” which was a combination of her noughties hit song “Goodies.”
