Nazizi, a Kenyan rapper, releases her debut dance video
Nazizi, a legend in Kenyan music, makes a comeback with a new tune called “Gai Fafa.”
“Gai Fafa,” which was produced by the late Hilton Mwakio, also known as Herbalist, is a joyful song about choosing to celebrate and letting go of life’s troubles.
In addition to being a present to her admirers, Nazizi views this publication as a memorial to a dear friend. This is dedicated to the supporters who have supported me over the past 25 years, particularly throughout my recent period of loss, Nazizi says. How much your messages, encouragement, and direct messages have meant to me is beyond words. I had to express my gratitude in the only way I know how, which is via music. It’s for Hilton as well. He insisted on me releasing it because he loved this song so much. He also deserves this one.
Director Okey filmed the music video in Arusha, Tanzania, and the dancers (Purple Dancers Crew) were choreographed by Kevo and Chiki from The Dance Shagz (Kenya).
the most recent one. This is her first dance-based video, and she says, “It’s all about letting go of the stress, dancing your heart out, and letting yourself feel good—even if only for a moment.” She also says, “I am excited to see the dance challenges that come out of it.”
Instead of being a part of an album, “Gai Fafa” is a poignant stand-alone release.
In December 2024, she asked the audience if the song should be released during her first live performance of it at Blankets & Wine. She got the go-ahead from their thunderous response.
Dedicated to her followers who enjoy reggae, Nazizi is planning to release a six-track reggae EP later this year.
