Jay-Z’s accuser of rape wants his lawsuit dismissed
The accuser of Jay-Z is requesting that the court dismiss his defamation lawsuit; however, his team maintains that her allegations were untrue from the beginning.
A judge was recently asked to dismiss the defamation action that Jay-Z’s anonymous rape accuser had filed against her.
Since her initial accusations were made in legally protected court files, she argues Jay-Z cannot sue her. She adds that she based her whole interview with NBC on those files.
She first claimed that she had been raped by Diddy and Jay-Z when she was thirteen years old. She dismissed her lawsuit, however, when discrepancies became apparent. Then, claiming that she and her attorney, Tony Buzbee, had harmed his reputation by making untrue allegations, Jay-Z filed a defamation lawsuit against them.
The lawsuit shouldn’t even exist, she now claims.
“An agreement to resolve the litigation was reached… which included the voluntary dismissal of the SDNY Action,” according to Buzbee.
Jay-Z’s attorney, Alex Spiro, is not amused. That was a complete untruth, he said. He filed a fake case, suffered a severe defeat, and was promptly dismissed. Story ends.
However, according to Buzbee’s lawyer, “Spiro’s claim that no agreement existed is a complete fabrication.” In a series of emails, the arrangement was spelled out in detail.
He went on, “We decided to drop the litigation despite Jane Doe’s insistence that the claims made in that lawsuit were accurate. In order to prevent further harassment and intimidation of Jane Doe and her family, Jay Z and Spiro agreed.
As of yet, Jay-Z’s team has not formally addressed the woman’s move.
