Drake’s lawsuit drags on the Grand National Tour’s opening night, “Drop Drop,” and Kendrick Lamar regains his “Lawbrey” lick
Before Kendrick Lamar performed “Not Like Us” on the sold-out first night of his Grand National Tour with SZA, he turned Drake’s litigation into a court case comedy. With the popular diss tune, Kdot hilariously provided fans even more than they could have imagined, further upgrading the art of hatred.
Kendrick Lamar and his co-worker SZA began their Grand National Tour in Minnesota on Saturday, April 19. You know what fans have been waiting for, in addition to the dynamic duo’s hit song “Luther,” which is currently topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Before performing the diss, Kendrick made fun of the hypocritical hoopla surrounding the Certified Litigious Boy’s involvement in the UMG lawsuit, which is part of the ongoing “Not Like Us” dispute.
By taking a seat in the hot seat for a deposition sketch, Kendrick Lamar claps Drake.
The “TV Off” rapper appeared in the hot seat during a deposition spoof, discussing the dispute and who is actually dragging it. He was cross-examined by the lawyer character on Aubrey’s angels’ conflicting statements.
However, I’m saying, just ask me. I vanish, but you ask me again, “I’m addicted to attention.” Can’t you come up with a response on your own based on that? Kendrick inquired.
“Don’t you believe that going missing is a way to get attention?” the attorney asked.
“You expressed a desire for the party to perish. Was that a threat or just a metaphor?
The interrogator used Drake’s “Family Matters” ad-libs, “drop, drop, drop,” to mock Kendrick after inquiring about the date of the Super Bowl performance.
The song “I see dead people” sent the crowded stadium into a frenzy as everyone began to sing along. After over a year, Drake fans may understandably be sick of the Grammy-winning song, but it’s still a hit.
The song’s enduring popularity, according to Drizzy’s supporters, is evidence that it somehow launched Kendrick’s career. But according to a number of remarks, Drake didn’t think twice about round the block and taking victory laps on “Back To Back” during his feud with Meek Mill.
Additionally, Drizzy’s “Nokia” made a number of dubious jabs at Kendrick. Neither rapper seemed to have finished riding the wave of their massive verbal battle at this point.
Naturally, SZA previously appeared with her TDE labelmate on “All the Stars” and “30 for 30.” She also began releasing fan favorites from CTRL and S.O.S., which were at the top of the charts.
Whether they like it or not, everyone is talking about the first night of the GNX tour. Knowing Kendrick, he will have many more sneaky stunts planned for the tour’s next 18 locations before the June 18 performance in Washington, D.C.
How do you feel about the most recent iterations of the feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar? Should they continue shooting at one another or are they dragging it?
