Violence must end in DR Congo, according to AFC/M23 chairman Nangaa
Nangaa reaffirmed that one of the key problems causing the crisis in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo is still violence.
In order to promote peace and economic growth, Corneille Nangaa, the leader of the Alliance Fleuve Congo (AFC) organization, has underlined the necessity of a DR Congo free from violence. According to him, DR Congo has to construct a functional state with an administration, police, army, and judicial system free from corruption in order to lower the country’s level of violence.
Nangaa stated in an interview with AnewZ Media on Thursday, April 17, that “all of these are currently lacking, and it has turned the country into a jungle.” AnewZ Media is a global news and analysis station that broadcasts to more than 110 countries, with its headquarters located in Baku, Azerbaijan, and correspondents across the globe.
Nangaa emphasized the value of harmony among the various ethnic groups of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The AFC head emphasized that “we must learn to coexist peacefully and come together for development,” pointing out that the nation is made up of numerous tribal tribes.
“Look at our borders; they weren’t drawn by our grandfathers; we were given the country.”
In order to turn the country from a failing state into a modern one, he said that the AFC movement’s fight is about “rebuilding the country” and enabling Congolese residents to “live with dignity.”
The security situation in eastern DR Congo was made worse by a large Congolese army coalition that was supported by Western nations like Belgium and included SADC forces, the FDLR, Burundian forces, and Rwandan genocidal militia. Remaining members of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide perpetrators created the FDLR, a militia supported by the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Alliance Fleuve Congo is advocating for governance that upholds fundamental human rights, protects all Congolese residents, and tackles the underlying causes of conflict under the leadership of Corneille Nangaa, a former chairman of the country’s national election commission. Among other evils that are pervasive in DR Congo, the insurgency has pledged to eradicate corruption, nepotism, tribalism, and the FDLR’s philosophy of genocide.
Nangaa reaffirmed that one of the key problems causing the crisis in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo is still violence.
He claimed that President Felix Tshisekedi neglected to address enduring issues like prejudice, dictatorship, and bad governance, which he blamed for the nation’s instability.
“These are issues that could have been settled amicably. However, Nangaa criticised the Congolese government for not utilising the nation’s enormous mineral resources to establish a conducive business environment, saying that Tshisekedi only seemed to comprehend the language of weaponry.
Nangaa cited the nation’s dysfunctional political system as the cause of issues including inadequate infrastructure and a dearth of essential services.
Nangaa denied foreign intervention in response to accusations that Rwanda backs the rebels and international penalties against AFC officials.
“Our forces do not contain any Rwandans. “We are fighting for Congolese reasons because we are Congolese,” he declared.
President Tshisekedi himself has stated that the Congolese government houses Rwandan genocidal militias (FDLR) with the objective of destabilizing neighboring Rwanda.
Nangaa underlined that AFC is looking for “a legitimate and responsible government,” contending that DR Congo has the capacity to prosper on a regional and international scale.
Nangaa remains optimistic that the conflict will be resolved peacefully in spite of the protracted crisis and the failure of peace negotiations.
“There is hope for peaceful resolutions. We have always stated that. We are aware that discussions and agreements can resolve the issues that are causing our conflict.
