Jonathan Majors Responds to “Comeback” Kang Criticism Following Assault Conviction, Meagan Good Is Coretta Happy With Marriage?

Meagan Good and Jonathan Majors are beaming about their marriage, which she describes as “amazing.” However, as social media users continue to discuss his quest to regain prominence, Majors is still coping with the consequences of his assault conviction. The actor recently spoke about the entire experience on Cam Newton’s podcast, Funky Friday. 

Good recently went to the NBCU Emmy Kick-Off Luncheon on April 11 at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, according to PEOPLE. She discussed her recent marriage and life with Majors with the outlet while she was there. She acknowledges that their relationship has altered since they took it to a new level, despite her positive reports. 

“What it is already is enormous. “When two individuals get together, they make the same decision and commit to the same thing,” she said. “[The other individual is] coming to the same conclusion as you.”

As previously mentioned, in March 2025, Good and Majors discreetly got married. Following their initial sighting together in May 2023, the two became engaged in November 2024. “I knew Majors was my person long before they jumped the broom,” Good reveals in an interview with PEOPLE. 

“I know it’s me and him against the world, whatever it may be,” she remarked, adding that she already felt like she had her person. “I gained a lot of knowledge from him. However, I believe that a distinct kind of connection is formed when you become husband and wife. And I believe that even though the commitment may already exist, it is a unique kind of commitment because it is forever; I will be with you through anything, [until] the wheels fall off.

The bond between Meagan Good and Jonathan Majors endures despite his cancellation.

Meagan Good is happy as a married woman. Majors is still dealing with the fallout, though. Following a physical fight with his ex-girlfriend, the Creed III actor was found guilty on two counts of misdemeanor assault and harassment in December 2023, as reported by BOSSIP. As previously said, he recently had a conversation about his image and “cancellation” with Cam Newton. 

Majors’ attempt to return to the public eye following the assault allegation has drawn criticism from a number of social media users. However, Majors believes that people only want to continue to be angry with him and don’t want to see him grow or get better. 

That bit where I say, ‘Oh, well, so, now it’s not real because you don’t want to see it,’ is something I don’t want to touch. Correct? However, he said, “I was going to take a path that I didn’t want to take and bring everyone who stayed with me with me. Something had to die or I was going to die, you know what I mean.”

He added that the reason he keeps going is to keep others from “going down” because of him. 

“You know, I won’t stop mostly for myself. “Jay, you can’t do this,” I said. You understand what I mean. You understand what I mean when I say don’t go that way. Alright, you canceled. What will you do at this point? What does that mean? What does that signify? For me, that’s a real moment,” he disclosed.

Majors declined to accept the term of “comeback” because he does not want to be perceived as the same person or as the person that others presume him to be.

You understand what I mean when I say that it’s a rebirth rather than a comeback. It is a total rebirth. Majors said, “I believe we need to create room for people to have those moments we talk about all the time.”
