The twisters started to spawn on Friday, with Missouri bearing the brunt of them. In that state, at least 12 people have lost their lives.

Dust storms caused by strong winds in Kansas and Texas caused car pileups and the fatalities of twelve people.

Nearly 150 fatal wildfires were sparked in Oklahoma by the severe weather, which affected a region of the nation with a population of over 100 million. Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas also reported fatalities.

Flood advisories applied to portions of North Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Texas.

Georgia, Oklahoma, and Arkansas have all proclaimed states of emergency.

“The scale of devastation across our state is staggering,” stated Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe.

He went on to say, “Hundreds of homes, schools, and businesses have been either destroyed or severely damaged.”

One home in Butler County, in the Midwestern state, was rendered “unrecognizable as a home” after a tornado killed its occupant, according to local coroner Jim Akers.

“Just a field of debris,” he continued. The floor was inverted. We were on walls.

Several articulated lorries were overturned in Oklahoma by almost 150 wildfires caused by winds as high as 83 mph (133 km/h).

At least four individuals have perished there due to flames or strong winds, according to the state’s chief medical examiner.

Nearly 300 buildings, including a farmhouse owned by the state’s governor, Kevin Stitt, were destroyed by the fires, which burned 170,000 acres.

A dust storm in Kansas caused more than 55 automobiles to collide, resulting in at least eight fatalities.

At least four individuals were killed when around 38 cars piled up in Texas due to another dust storm.

Tornadoes killed six people in Mississippi, and twisters killed three more, including an 82-year-old lady, in Alabama.

Authorities in Arkansas recorded 29 injuries and three fatalities.

The National Guard has been sent to Arkansas to assist with the hurricane response, according to US President Donald Trump.

On his Truth social media account, he wrote, “Please join Melania and me in praying for everyone impacted by these terrible storms!”
