“I was aware of the record,” said Salah following his capture of Aguero

Superstar Mohamed Salah of Egypt has acknowledged that he knew about the English Premier League record of Argentinean great Sergio Aguero.

In an exciting match on Saturday at Anfield Stadium, Liverpool FC defeated Southampton FC 3-1 thanks to two goals from the in-form winger.

As a result, Salah tied former Manchester City forward Aguero for sixth place on the all-time Premier League scoring record with 184 goals.

Salah stated, “I was aware of the record, but I didn’t consider it while I was playing.”

However, I am aware of the record. Being able to equalize is a respectable record; Sergio is an excellent player and a league legend.

“I’m pleased about that, and I’m also pleased with the victory.”

With 243 goals in 390 games, Salah is now third on Liverpool’s all-time leading scorer list and has scored 32 goals this season.

Gordon Hodgson, a former South Africa international who scored 241 goals in 378 games for Liverpool from 1925 to 1936, was so surpassed by the 32-year-old.
