A driver for Amazon was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman and a minor while they were working

Serious accusations have been made against Amazon delivery driver Fernando Barreto-Hernandez for allegedly sexually abusing a lady and a minor in separate events while he was on the job.

He was taken into custody by the Glendale Police Department (GPD) on January 24th following an assault on a kid in Los Angeles in December 2024. He was arrested again during a February 21 court appearance, this time for the January 21 sexual assault of a woman in Glendale.

Lewd or lascivious conduct with a minor under the age of 14 and touching someone without their will in order to arouse their sexual desire are among the felony and misdemeanor charges against Barreto-Hernandez. CBS News Los Angeles reports that he has entered a not guilty plea.

Police verified Barreto-Hernandez’s employment history with FedEx, Amazon, and Amazon Flex. Delivery drivers are not directly employed by Amazon, the business emphasized, despite the fact that he worked for independent third-party service providers. Any possible other victims are now being urged by the Glendale Police Department to come forward and notify their Assaults Unit about the crimes.

Amazon has not commented on the case, and Barreto-Hernandez is presently free on bond.
