SGU Works With Education Agents in Kenya and Nigeria to Empower Future Physicians

From February 24 to 27, the St. George’s University (SGU) School of Medicine successfully concluded an Education Agents Workshop in Kenya and Nigeria. 

The occasion strengthened SGU’s resolve to increase access to high-quality medical education throughout Africa by bringing together over 62 important recruitment brokers for lively and engaging discussions in Nairobi and Lagos.

SGU is an internationally renowned university that draws staff and students to its Grenada campus from more than 150 nations. SGU, a pioneer in medical education with a global perspective, is accredited by the Grenada Medical and Dental Council, an entity acknowledged by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME).

The goal of the event was to improve cooperation with recruitment partners, who are essential in helping potential students with the application process. Important details regarding SGU’s Doctor of Medicine (MD) program and the options for graduates to practice medicine in the US or the UK are provided by these agents.

SGU’s Executive Director of International Student Recruitment, David Anthonisz, underlined the significance of these collaborations:

“This session demonstrates our dedication to global cooperation. We enable our recruitment partners to better assist aspiring physicians in Africa and beyond by giving them a better grasp of SGU’s medical programs.

Along with fostering new connections, the occasion gave agents and school counselors a great opportunity to learn directly about SGU’s academic programs, admissions procedure, and career paths for students.
