Ashanti says she’s prepared to have more children with Nelly

The singer also disclosed why she was reluctant to post pictures of her son.
Kareem Kenkaide (KK), Ashanti’s first child, was born about a year ago, and the “Baby” singer is eager for more. 

She told E! News, “We’re going to add some more.” A mini-me was another indication she made. To balance everything out, a girl is definitely needed. Right now, there are more people in the home than myself. Therefore, a girl would be ideal. 

Ashanti said, “I am feeling amazing, incredibly pleased, humbled,” when discussing parenthood in general. My life has taken a radical turn for the better. You know, I’m full? I have a full cup.

She has already discussed how becoming a mother has affected her acting career. She is appearing alongside William Baldwin in the upcoming movie No Address. Ashanti, who portrays a homeless veteran, attributes her increased sensitivity to her son.

According to Ashanti, “having a child magnifies the love and the humility [that one has for their circumstances].” “And there are moments when I just feel so thankful for my mom, aunts, cousins, and family.”

She also talked about how it has increased her want to assist others. What else are we able to do, I ask myself now? Can we make a donation? We have a ton of clothing. “We always give things away,” Ashanti remarked. 

“It’s just [an increase] of love,” the singer said, hinting at possible plans to collaborate with companies and a shelter that aids displaced and abused women and children. You know, you don’t realize it until you go through it.

In July 2024, Ashanti and Nelly welcomed their first kid together, over ten years after their sporadic 11-year romance. Although she is “hesitant” to show his face, she revealed that his most recent achievements include clapping and mimicking.
