Salah opens up on the Marmah relationship before the City-Liverpool collision
Mohamed Salah, the Egyptian superstar, has endorsed his countryman Omar Marmoush in the Manchester City vs. Liverpool FC match.
At the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, the two titans of English football will square off in a highly anticipated Premier League match.
In City’s most recent league game, they thrashed Newcastle United 4-0, and Marmoush, who signed from Germany’s Eintracht Frankfurt, scored a hat-kick.
Salah highlighted their close bond and his aspirations for other Egyptian players to succeed in Europe. He is the Premier League and Liverpool’s top scorer.
Salah posted on Ysscores, “I’m very happy for Omar Marmoush, and I hope that many other Egyptian players will join the English Premier League and play at the highest level.”
“I have a fantastic relationship with Marmoush; we are like brothers to me. I assured him that I’m always here to help if he needs it. Our friendship is excellent; we have written to each other several times and were always communicating while playing for the Egyptian national team.
“We have a lot of talented Egyptian players who can compete at the highest level; we just need to shift our mindset a bit and adjust to European culture, which is very different from our own,” he continued.
“Erling Halland is an attacker, so his life is a little simpler (in terms of registration), and I really appreciate him for that! It’s rather challenging for a wing to have such a record, though. This is something that each wing can attest to, thus I perceive it as being different between us because it is, because it is, because it is. I am an attacker and a wing.
