Diallo, a winger for United, is anticipated to miss many weeks due to an ankle injury

Amad Diallo, a winger for Manchester United, may be sidelined for the rest of the Premier League season due to an ankle ligament damage sustained during practice.

With nine goals and seven assists, the 22-year-old Ivory Coast native has been a bright light for United during an otherwise dismal season. Ruben Amorim’s squad is now in 13th place in the league standings going into Sunday’s matchup with Tottenham Hotspur.

Although he will be reevaluated, Diallo, who inked a new five-year deal last month, is anticipated to miss at least the next few weeks.

He will be added to United’s long list of injured athletes. Due to a recent rupture of his anterior cruciate ligament, defender Lisandro Martinez will be out for the rest of the season.
